Effect of an Educational Program Regarding Self-Care Management Behaviors for Patients with Bronchial Asthma
Background: Bronchial asthma is a highly prevalent chronic respiratory disease which affects more than 300 million persons all over the world with a mortality rate about 250,000 annually. Improvement of clinical outcomes by effective utilization of self-management behaviors has been studied for patients with bronchial asthma. Aim: This study aims to evaluate the effect of an educational program regarding self-care management behaviors for patients with bronchial asthma. Subject and method: A Quasi-experimental design was used in outpatient clinics at Al-masah El-bahary hospital. A purposive sample of 103 asthmatic patients was included in the study. Data was collected through Asthma self-care management behaviors for adults questionnaire. Results: there was a statistically significant improvement in all dimensions of asthma self-care management behaviors after the program implementation. Conclusion: the study results concluded that implementation of the asthma training program was associated with improvement in the use of medication, how to deal with asthma attacks, prevent a recurrent asthma attack, avoidance of the triggers for bronchial asthma, and the use of an inhaler. Recommendation: Promotion and enhancement of the self-care management to the patient through showing a picture about triggers, allowed foods, and follow up should be continued after termination of the treatment through the rehabilitation program.

Knowledge and Self-care of Patients Recently Diagnosed With Atrial Fibrillation
Background: Atrial Fibrillation (AF) is the most broadly recognized managed arrhythmia around the world. Identified knowledge and self-care to patients with AF is the way to successfully live with their disease. So necessary to this knowledge to be identified. This study aimedto assess knowledges and self-care of patients recently diagnosed with atrial fibrillation. A descriptive design was used in the current study. The study was conducted at intensive care unit and Cardiac care unit in El- zohor hospital, Port Said general hospital and El-tadamon hospital at Port Said city. A convenience sample of 110 patients recently diagnosed with atrial fibrillation included in this study. Tools of data collection, two tools were used for data collection; Patient’s knowledge relevant information questionnaire and Patient’s Self-care Scale. Results of the study revealed that, most of patients had moderate knowledges about atrial fibrillation and the level of self-care was observed to be high in male, highly percent among educated patients, in the individuals who work and live in urban areas. Knowledges was positive predictor of AF and self-care practice. Conclusion: most of studied patients had unsatisfactory knowledges and self-care about atrial fibrillation regarding themselves. The current study recommended that, Well-planned orientation, in-services training program and proper supervision of patients with atrial fibrillation is recommended

Quality of Life For Patients with Cerebrovascular Stroke
Background: Cerebrovascular stroke (CVS) had poor quality of life (QOL). Quality of Life (QoL) assessment was an important part of the evaluation of stroke patients. Aim: assess quality of life for patients with cerebrovascular stroke Method: a descriptive research design was utilized. Setting: study was conducted in the inpatient Neurology department and outpatient clinical at, El-Azhar university hospital and Port Said general hospital. Subjects: A convenient sample of 150 adult patients with cerebrovascular stroke admitted to above mentioned settingswere participating in the study.Tool: data were collected using two tools, tool one: A Stroke-Specific Quality of Life Scale, and tool two structured interviews: it includes two parts. Part one socio-demographic characteristics and part two medical histories. The results: about three quarters of the studied patients had a low total quality of life, there were statistically significant relation between patients' socio-demographic characteristics and their total quality of life . Conclusion: Most of studied patients had low quality of life. Recommendations: There is a clear need for periodic training sessions and assessments to improve the quality of life of patients suffering from stroke.

Effect of Progressive Relaxation Technique on the Anxiety Level of the Psychiatric Patients before Electro Convulsive Therapy
Background: Electroconvulsive therapy is one of the most effective and rapidly-acting treatments for many psychiatric conditions as major depression, schizophrenia, and bipolar disorder. The majority of psychiatric patients describe electroconvulsive therapy as a frightening treatment and they experience high level of anxiety before receiving it or when the decision to receive it is made. Aim: Is to determine the effect of progressive relaxation technique on the psychiatric patient's anxiety level before electroconvulsive therapy. Subjects and Method: A quasi-experimental design was used in this study that carried out at the inpatient units at Port Said Psychiatric Health Hospital. The subjects of the study compromised sixty psychiatric inpatients to whom electroconvulsive therapy were prescribed regardless of their diagnosis. They were divided into two equal groups (study and control) with thirty patients in each group. The study data were collected by using the Spielberger State Anxiety Inventory (STAI), in addition to personal and clinical data questionnaire. Results: The revealed that there are significant differences between controls and studied group of patients in relation to presence of someone who support patients socially and psychologically especially relatives during treatment at hospital. Most of control and studied group had mild anxiety after progressive relaxation technique. Finally, there were significant differences between before and after progressive relaxation in studied group. Recommendations: Progressive relaxation technique may be used as complementary treatment to decrease the hospitalized psychiatric patient's anxiety. The psychiatric nurse can easily apply this technique to manage patients’ anxiety.

Two tools were used namely; Self-Directed Learning Readiness Scale (SDLRS) and Learning Styles Self-Assessment Questionnaire. Results 27% of studied nursing students had average score for self-directed learning readiness while 41.4% were blew average and 31.6% were above average. Moreover, the most preferred learning style among student was kinesthetic (44.8%), then visual (28.2%) and auditory (27%).
